Welcome To 3rd "WATER Treatment & MANAGEMENT summit"

Water is a must requisite for every Industry. Raw water entering in an industrial plant often needs treatment to meet tight quality specifications. Water Treatment is used to optimize most water-based industrial processes, such as heating, cooling, processing, cleaning, and rinsing so that operating costs and risks are reduced. Water is essential for life. Agriculture, Industry and house-hold usage are the key users of water. By 2030, according to NITI Aayog report submitted on June 2018, the country’s water demand is projected to be twice the available supply, implying severe water scarcity for hundreds of millions and an eventual loss of around 6% of the country’s GDP. The industry is bound to suffer in terms of availability of water, quality of water, the impact of scarcity on process control and cost of water. In this perspective Waste/Effluent water treatment, Water Harvesting, Reducing Water Consumption, Reusing of Water & Recycling of Water (3R’s) etc. have immense importance to solve the water problem in all facets of life, including industry, domestic and agriculture.

Efficient Water Management is critical to the operation of any plant. Under inadequate control, the water system can create significant difficulty to the plant like Loss of production capacity, increased cost of cleaning and protective chemicals, performance of cooling tower, Quality of Water, Scaling, Corrosion, Microbiological Activity, Heat Transfer Efficiency and disposal of residual wastewater, increased energy Maintenance costs and Reduction in service life. Water Management encompasses all aspects which include sourcing of water, pre-treatment of Water to meet required quality, Desalination, Boiler Water Treatment, Cooling Water Treatment, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, Waste/Effluent Water Treatment, Recycling of water, Water Harvesting, Reducing Water Consumption,  Corrosion, Scaling & Fouling, MIC, Corrosion Monitoring, Heat Transfer Efficiency, Coating/ Lining, Use of suitable Metallic/Plastic Materials  etc. Water Management is very critical for smooth process control.

3rd Water Treatment & Management (3rd WTM) is one of the few initiatives to conduct a technical summit covering various critical aspects of Water Management and water treatment. It will provide an ideal platform for the professionals from various industries, academia and research institutions to meet and share the problems and their solutions.

Technical Conference

3rd Edition of “WATER Treatment & Management Summit (3rd WTM) is an initiative in India and one of the few initiatives in the world to conduct a technical summit solely on Industrial Water Management. Efficient cooling water management is critical to the operation of a plant. Under inadequate control, the cooling water system can present significant difficulty to the plant in loss of production, increased cost of cleaning and protective chemicals, increased energy maintenance costs, and reduction in service life. So this important topic of Industrial Water Management has been chosen to refresh the participants in their endeavor to conserve the water, control corrosion while maintaining its efficacy as a coolant. It also provides a unique networking platform in terms of interaction among professionals from various government and private industries.

Submit Abstract for Oral/Poster Paper Presentation

Scientists, Engineers, Technologists and Professionals from the Industries, Academia, and Research Organization related or involved in one or other way in Water Management are invited for technical paper presentation in any one of the suggested theme topics. Abstracts will be evaluated based on relevance, uniqueness/originality, technical content and clarity. Authors are requested to submit abstracts not exceeding 300-400 words as per the guidelines via email (

To ensure a wider participation, Poster sessions will be held along with the oral presentations. Authors desirous of presenting their papers in the poster session may indicate their preference while submitting the abstract.
